I can't emphasise this enough. When your kids are growing up you need to help to explain to them how they fit into the world and how it makes sense or they'll come up with some weird ass answers like conspiracy theories and hippies.
There’s no such thing as “no propaganda.” Either you fill your kids up with ideas or somebody else will.

Suppose you don’t have any trust in the longer term finances of your country for the very good reasons below; you take these funds and you put it in a Swiss bank account where the govt can’t get it. That sounds illegal but it’s not necessarily wrong.
One bit of financial advice I'd give to young people in New Zealand: Don't assume superannuation will exist when you retire. There are politicians who like to pretend our current policy settings are sustainable, but they're not. So, you should try to save more when young. Yay!.
