It's important to give Trump shedloads of credit for this, not only for the last year, but also so he's incentivised to do the same with Ukraine If the man wants glory for doing the right thing, then promise him as much glory as he wants

@StuartBDonovan FWIW of all the Australian capital cities I'd probably nominate Adelaide? Not sure. Last time I was in CHC it was pretty awful most regional Aus cities are pretty regrettable, but not sure what the benchmark for "good" is here

This is another way of saying that whoever wins has a very low democratic mandate to do anything at all
Something has to fundamentally change about local govt elections. Turnout under 30% is awful.
