Albanese urges the Opposition to cut the politics after Bondi: "This is not a time for partisanship. It's a time for national unity, for Australia to come together. After Port Arthur, that's what happened." Pity Sussan Ley cares more about Penny Wong crying than leading #auspol

Hardly surprising that instead of offering any concrete policy debate on Bondi, Sussan Ley chose to deliver Australians regrettable melodrama — bombastically policing Penny Wong's "tears", blaming Albo. Familiar Opposition tactics. Unforgettable, for all the wrong reasons #auspol

We’re living in a democracy, here. People have a right to speak up. People have a right to be heard. People have a right to disagree. And any so-called Liberal trying to change that isn’t a leader – he’s dangerous.

Chris Minns' radical move post-Bondi to ban protests—claiming peaceful pro-Palestine rallies "sow division, hatred & unleash violence"—is aptly rebuked by NSW Council for Civil Liberties: "The Premier is undermining the legitimacy of the democracy that put him in power." #auspol

For a community so vehemently claiming to oppose hatred, the booing of Prime Minister Albanese by some at the Bondi memorial was deeply distasteful. It degraded a solemn moment for the Australians lost & Australia's dignity. Grief is sacred. It should never be politicised #auspol

"The Lord is close to the broken-hearted. Today I stand with you, my brothers & sisters." Words shared in solidarity with the Jewish community by Bondi attack hero Ahmed al Ahmed, who remains in hospital, as Australia marks a Day of Reflection. Grace we need more of right now.

Former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull tells Netanyahu to get fucked following Bondi: "Stay out of our politics. "We cannot allow foreign wars to be imported here. "Most countries recognise Palestine." At least one leader in Australia isn't taking orders. #auspol

"Ahmed al Ahmed represents the best of our country. A true Australian hero." Albanese, honouring Australia's Bondi hero. It is striking that those who speak loudest about Jewish safety—Jillian Segal, Josh Frydenberg—have not publicly recognised the man who protected it #auspol

Looks like Chemist Warehouse has quietly rolled out a new ad spokesperson. The right call after Tom Silvagni's offences & lack of remorse. No brand should be linked, even indirectly, to sexual violence, entitlement, or disrespect. Rape is a violation. It causes lifelong harm.

John Howard brazenly refused the Stolen Generations Apology. He dragged Australia into Iraq, creating ISIS, attacked the Voice & as @Anthony_Klan Klan aptly notes, oversaw $500k to Advance. Who TF is he to lecture Albo on "moral leadership" & politicise the Bondi attack? #auspol

So shamelessly opportunistic is Josh Frydenberg that rather than urge unity as Australia mourns the Bondi tragedy, he accused Albo of being "personally responsible" for the deaths—yet failed to justify it after Sarah Ferguson asked 3 times. Performative. Pathetic. #abc730 #auspol

I've never been more convinced Australia has the worst mainstream journalists in the world. Simple, thick, racist, ahistorical, bootlicking dipshits that lie and screech more than they think and feel. This weaponisation of a tragedy against anti-genocide voices is grotesque.

Ahmed, you are an Australian hero. You put yourself at risk to save others, running towards danger on Bondi Beach and disarming a terrorist. In the worst of times, we see the best of Australians. And that's exactly what we saw on Sunday night. On behalf of every Australian, I

Even in darkness, Australia shows us hope. Father of Bondi attack hero Ahmed al Ahmed, visited by Albanese, honours his son: "When he saw people covered in blood, his conscience & morals compelled him to confront the terrorist… An impulse to protect." No hate. Just humility.

As Australia mourns those lost in the Bondi attack, Netanyahu, consumed by self-interest, chose to blame Albanese for antisemitism instead. If anyone has stoked antisemitism, it is the Israeli PM, who exploits Jewish identity to justify his brazen decimation of Palestine #auspol

Laura Tingle on the ABC aptly exposes Netanyahu's opportunistic blame of the Bondi attack on Albanese & the Australian government for recognising Palestine: "He's said this before…attacked many other countries." "There are bigger issues — terror, Australia's gun laws." #auspol

It is vile, depraved & brazenly hypocritical that Australia's Antisemitism Envoy Jillian Segal has conflated the peaceful Harbour Bridge Palestine march with the Bondi attack. To tar principled Australians opposing Israel's atrocities as aiding terrorism is reprehensible. #auspol

Blood on our sand, grief in our hearts. Families celebrating Hanukkah, others enjoying summer. How does Australia even begin to reconcile that our beloved Bondi Beach was the stage for a brutal terrorist attack, a mass shooting evoking Port Arthur? Deep strength to all suffering.

It's hard to imagine the fear at Bondi Beach as the attack during Hanukkah unfolded. Still, Sutherland fruit shop owner Ahmed al Ahmed chose courage—lunging forward, disarming the shooter, risking his life for strangers. He is a hero. He is the Australia we all know & believe in.
