It's not JUST overpopulation that CAUSES climate change. But it's definitely a HUGE factor. We are IN OVERSHOOT, over 8 billion humans using more of the planet (1.8 times) than she sustainable can give. This causes climate change,food shortages,water scarcity etc.

The problem, my opinion, is the everlasting growth of corporations. More production requires more workers. More people to feed need more and bigger supermarkets etc. More older people require more healthcare professionals. Etc. We see it in NL, more refugees need more housing etc

I'd suggest to simply use less energy. Building Solar panels might seem to be a solution, but they all! are made with fossil fuels! From mining, to transportation, to melting materials to manufacturing.
