I'm squarely in the camp of believing that there is an insatiable demand for software, and until that stops, software engineers are going to be in overwhelmingly short supply in the long term. AI is forcing companies to recalibrate their resources (we're all seeing that now with
Realistically I think most tech jobs are a thing of the past with AI to be honest Right now we're seeing hiring stops everywhere, next will be layoffs I think What will remain is tech founders who build things with entire AI teams which @shl says too and I believe he's right

This is pure rage bait. I am sure of it because a 40% LTCG tax is just completely made up. Like what? π€£ But whatever, I was nerd sniped, and I replaced the spreadsheet with actual data supported by reality, instead of, you know, making up numbers. And based on the actual data
You mathmatically can't compound your way to wealth anymore... 20 years, 7% returns, 3% inflation, 40% taxes -- best case you 1.5x your investment. That is why the kids YOLO it... plain and simple.

A huge miss on sales weekends is to be strict with your dates. If you say it ends on Friday, end it on Saturday. Did you say it ends on Monday? Actually end it on Tuesday. By doing this, you make your customers happier, make more money, and avoid unnecessary support cases.

Welp, just lost 10 days of ad traffic because I deployed a change that redirected logged-out users to the landing page to the login page. π« We knew conversions were dropping but hard to understand what the cause was. Only after reviewing our ad performance did we catch it.

This is a normal day for us. Look at how many failed payments there are! I understand why products do $1 test payments now. We're moving to having a free version with a paywall after you hit limits. It's just not worth the hassle otherwise. Bye bye free trial.

Today was tough. Running up against some major headwinds, in terms of both product and user acquisition. I had to remind myself that these are the days where progress is made; the days where the real work is done. We must do the hard work today to make the work easy tomorrow.
