I build software that scales and is maintainable. Glad that Vibe coding is finally here. I'm persistent.

Loved the genuine frustration mixed with insights - made me laugh out loud a few times. Kept re-reading sections packed with intricate details. Now I have new tabs open from all the references. Really well written.

I wrote up my learnings after reading about "durable execution" and its connections to database transactions, RPC etc.

@googlemaps Others will slowly eat at it if @googlemaps remains stagnant. Case in point:.

My habits of finding a restaurant are changing quickly. Used to be places like Google Maps, or review sites. Now I go to Perplexity and ask "what are restaurants suitable for {even type} with {number of people} near {location of choice}" . Works very well IME

It's a shame @googlemaps doesn't have an AI Agent you can chat with about a place's reviews. Like Rufus for Amazon product reviews.

Looks like the "Show fewer shorts" in @YouTube is like the "Close Door" button in the elevator. Both don't do anything. 😂.

Deepseek is AI that costs pennies. Unitree is Robots that cost less than a MacBook. DeepSeek + Unitree G1 = the future of cheap, scalable digital labor. It’s not science fiction anymore. ❤️🤖

Cursor is good but it feels a little pretentious. Windsurf feels like a pair programmer that understands your coding vibe. That's hard to articulate precisely but captures what I feel.

So the Typescript announcement (porting their compiler to Go) got me reading into VLQ encoding, and I wrote down what I learnt.

Absolute pleasure to watch @viktorklang and @BrianGoetz take a first pass at Java Serialization (take 2). This is pre JEP folks and love where it is going. I wonder how it'll fit with Protobuf/Avro etc, from the looks of it, it should work well as long.

With ChatGPT advanced voice, you can probably guess that Jony Ive is working on a Google Home/Alexa device done right for OpenAI.
