@RCRadiologists @sajidjavid @DHSCgovuk It really isn't JUST about "investing in workforce"- that's a long term strategy that take many years to train more consultants. They urgently need to address the barriers to working more & retiring later i.e. sort out punitive pension taxation to improve retention

We welcome @SajidJavid’s plan to tackle the elective backlog with an NHS recovery plan. But any plan requires significant investment in workforce, updating out of date equipment and IT. We look forward to working with @DHSCgovuk to set out how we can help tackle the backlog.
