There "difference" they are talking about is traditional panto showing casing female traits deemed negative such as nagging, silliness, ugliness, damsel in distress. Not only are they discriminatory but they are also misogynistic.
@drorfh There is a significant difference between the traditional panto dame and some of the ‘modern’ drag queens. Drag can be very entertaining but is essentially aimed at an adult audience and why would it be necessary to dress in drag when teaching children reading?.

Bus loads of school children are taken to see drag queens in pantos ever year. Zero difference to drag queens reading stories in Libraries. This is manufactured outrage by local drama queens with inflated egos - Gordon Lyons and Timothy Gaston.
