There’s a Lenovo driver that initializes PowerShell 4 times a minute to query if itself exists. Look you need to understand there are like maybe 6 people who look at Windows event logs and I’m 2 of them.

Its late, but my vote for aviation photo of the year is this one from the successful deadstick emergency landing of a #Citation in an Argentinian cornfield. Love how the trail shows the wings were rocking gently as it scythed the corn before coming to a stop. Excellent pilotage.

Fun fact: Minimizing an in-progress, legacy Windows command prompt window will often make the program run faster. When a program sends visual update it tries to draw each one. If you minimize the window it doesn’t bother repainting the window. This can make stuff run 50x faster.

I love it when esoteric Unix knowledge impresses a client. Needed to transfer 20 GB of CSV without Dropbox from his Mac to my Linux laptop. An Ethernet cable (in my bag) and a few moments later the data was streaming at wire speed via a tar pipe to netcat! @climagic

A very cool toy on loan to me from @SparrowsTools... For those of you unfamiliar with autodialers, they’re machines that systematically try every combination on a safe until the correct one is found. 😳
