This is why I feel we have a moral duty to support and preserve the NHS for all those who come after us. I hadn’t recovered from an illness as quickly as usual, so I looked for help. Called GP surgery 08:10 Seen in person 11:50 Collected meds 12:30 Total cost to me £0.00

The Margins to Centre conference is extending submission until the 5th of December! We've had some amazing submissions come in so far, but unfortunately few on #Disability history. We really want to include and promote disability history in the conference this year!!

Patients at @StaffsChildrens can travel around the hospital in style thanks to the efforts of a kind-hearted consultant. @MohtaSukesh arranged for the donation of a mini Tesla car through his membership of @TeslaOwnersUK 🚗➡️ https://t.co/i9eWkYO9TV

Late in the day we were running short of consumables. Senior manager grabbed a trolley, went down to supplies and brought back a full trolley herself. Thank you to the unseen thousands who help make it all happen at the bedside. I love the NHS. #PICU @Nhsmillion

Took our first adult patient with COVID-19 off ventilator in our PICU. First words. “I need suction”. Second words. “Can I do my own suction?” Made our PICU team laugh. And cry. #PICU

Funny this. I was told off by Health Care Support Worker for missing one step while doffing PPE. She too is saving lives. We are all in this together. Keep safe. #PICU #PPE #StaySafe

Heroism is the quiet determination of a children’s nurse who, despite her fears, steps forward to nurse a critically ill adult COVID-19 patient. I salute you all. #PICU #heroes

Funny this. Flipped from PICU to adult COVID ICU in one week. Time spent training and supporting team. Not a single action plan or SOP. There is a god! #PICU

Dear Matt - I’m a tech enthusiast too. But having just experienced NHS services in a fairly major way, may I just say that what really makes the difference is the WONDERFUL PEOPLE who work for the health service. Please do more for them: money, numbers, conditions, recognition...

An app that can help patients find the shortest A&E queue & help relieve pressure on A&E staff. Good for patients, good for clinicians. Another step forward in the NHS tech revolution https://t.co/kXMi3b3F3P
