A superb intellect and leader and a person of complete integrity with a progressive vision for Ireland. He even had time to shake my hand as a young child and made such an impression on me! Rest in peace Garrett. Ireland is a better place because of your leadership!
Above all, Garret FitzGerald was a loving father, a proud grandfather, & a devoted husband. His legacy lives on in the Ireland he helped build. Today, we honour him and strive to live up to his vision for our country. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
