Some personal news. Humbled to announce I have been appointed PVC People and Communities 😊😊😊. I now have lead responsibility for building an inclusive and open university and ensuring that our branding, comms and all academics social media accounts reflect Poppleton's values.

professors, if a student you haven't spoken to/interacted with in 15ish years wrote to you and said "hey you were a great teacher I am still benefitting from your teaching, here's a small life update" would that be weird? would you assume the former student wanted something?.

Unfortunately, following well-publicised questions about the ethics and scientific quality of a number of papers authored by my colleague @DrUnderling (Humblebrag et al 2020, Humblebrag & Underling 2021, Humblebrag 2022), I have made the difficult decision to sack them.
