Apo B is the number that matters most Here's what most people don't know: Every atherogenic particle has exactly one Apo B protein. LDL = one Apo B VLDL = one Apo B IDL = one Apo B Lp(a) = one Apo B So Apo B is a direct measure of total atherogenic particle number. Why it's

Most people don't know these numbers: LDL cholesterol: below 100 mg/dL Triglycerides: below 150 mg/dL HbA1c: below 5.7% Blood pressure: below 140/90 They get tests done. They don't know what the results should be. They repeat the cycle blindly. Know your numbers. They decide

3:30 PM, school pickup: 20 cars with AC on, parents scrolling phones Waiting 30 minutes for gate to open School is 800 meters from most homes. We're raising kids who think walking is poverty. Then wonder why they have diabetes at 25. The cycle you're creating will kill them.

Gold tweet. Long, but worth it. Extremely well written. A small quibble -- I think the Oreos study inclusion was not necessary. His newsletter is called SIGNAL OVER NOISE. Definitely the best tweet I have read on the diet wars.

Which one is the "best diet" for heart health and longevity? All diet cults have been debating this endlessly on social media, podcasts, and YouTube. The answer is more complicated than these cults make it seem.

Things my patients think are "healthy": Red wine (it's not) Honey instead of sugar (still spikes glucose) Pink Himalayan salt (it's just salt) Dry fruits (calorie bombs) "Just a little" alcohol (no safe amount) Pop culture health ≠ medical reality.

Losing a patient you thought you could save hits differently. You replay everything. The decisions. The timing. The what-ifs. With time, you learn to carry the grief without letting it paralyze your judgment. But you never forget their face. This job costs something. Every

In every office meeting, look around: Who takes stairs? Who stands during calls? Who walks during lunch? Those 3 people will be alive to attend your funeral. The rest will be "unable to make it due to health issues." Join the right group. Now.

Small consistent actions compound into unrecognizable transformation. One walk becomes a habit. A habit becomes an identity. An identity becomes a life. You're not just building a routine, you're building yourself. And that self is capable of more than you currently believe.

Insulin resistance is the driver. Cardiovascular disease is the outcome. Most people think of insulin resistance as a diabetes problem. It's a cardiovascular problem that happens to affect glucose. The mechanism: Chronic hyperinsulinemia (from insulin resistance) causes: 1.

People want scientific explanations, not dumbed-down sermons. Either the medical community steps up and gives them real science Or diet cults and snake-oil sellers will fill the void with their fake version. And platforms will happily amplify the misinformation. All in the

"The cholesterol theory has been debunked." No. It hasn't. You saw a YouTube video from someone who sells supplements. I see the inside of blocked arteries for a living. Cholesterol is sitting right there. I fix it with wires and balloons. This isn't a debate. It's anatomy.

I see this advice daily in my social media feed. With TG=231 and LDL=180, saying "your LDL is absolutely fine" is dangerously wrong. Let me show you the evidence for why LDL causally drives heart disease:

People ask what a cardiologist actually does for his own health. Here's mine: - Simple home-cooked food - 10,000 steps daily - Strength training 3-4 times a week - No magic supplements except whey - No biohacking nonsense I don't ask patients to do anything I don't do myself.
