This quote from David Wells is practically a masterclass in the nature and purpose of theology:

Data shows the same goes for LGBTQ acceptance and identification. “Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” (1 Cor. 15:33)
Divorce is contagious. If a high % of your close friends are divorced, you are more likely to get/be divorced. New from @dcoxpolls:

Somewhere between Joseph Story defining America as a Christian nation (1892) and today, American Christians lost the plot. And they did so because their pastors got comfortable with a kind of religious pluralism that made Christ’s Lordship inconsequential for public office.

New York City just elected a Muslim socialist and antisemite as Mayor. Virginia’s new Attorney General has fantasized about violence against conservatives. When voters knowingly choose leaders like this, it says something deeper about the condition of our culture. Arguments

His running mates for Governor and Lt. Gov. (who have both won their races) repeatedly refused to condemn his remarks. Virginia will have three such Dems in power, plus a majority in the state senate, and maybe the house of delegates, too. It’s going to be a rough 4 years.
Maybe a tiny sobering moment we could stop and think about on the right – – right now, a candidate who wished for the death of not just his Republican opponents but also their children is leading in the Virginia AG race. And if he wins, we now have a precedent that you can call

The progressive Left isn’t hiding their Marxism. And the Right is not hyperventilating to warn against them. Marxism’s track record of destruction is long and clear.

Don’t believe the propagandists saying the Nigerian persecution is really just about land disputes and not religion. 19,000 CHURCHES have been destroyed.

Not only has the Left become the party of the affluent, but in view of their commitment to "centering marginalized voices," they should vote for someone other than themselves. All this may be lost on the Facebook crowd, however. That site tends to be even less rational than X.

More cheerfully, we welcomed @dougponder to @OccoquanBible to preach Psalm 23. Then his family and ours went and invaded the US Marine Museum. Semper Fi. https://t.co/AWa2zfMSmU

I'm very thankful for @WillyRice, and I'm glad that he'll be among the candidates for SBC President. I pray he wins and puts the house in order, so the SBC can stop fighting about what is already clear in its statement of faith and get back to work. There is much to be done.

Whether it’s because I’m getting old or because I’ve always disliked fads and trends, the 6, 7 phenomenon irks me. It’s meaningless. These kids could be reading Dante, watching Ben-Hur, or hiking a mountain. Instead, they’re making TikTok videos of someone saying a number. 🤦🏻♂️
