My GP has slowly removed my pain meds. He's not a neuro specialist, but goes by the sacrosanct NICE guidelines. Meanwhile, I've just downed a bottle of wine because I'm in so much pain and have no other outlet. #NHS #disability #chronicpain

Weβre saying this publicly because too many disabled people are being put through the same exhausting cycle. The Nimbus Disability Access Card was created to remove barriers yet for many of us, itβs becoming another hurdle. A card thatβs supposed to offer dignity and consistency

Disabled people please read and share. Today NHS England has told me they hold no data on whether hospitals are step free and do not monitor compliance with equality law. That means no one nationally is checking if hospital buildings are physically accessible. I am a blind

and if you're not angry enough, remember, she earns Β£93904pa just for being an MP, and it's estimated she claims another Β£39000 on expenses. Yet she bitches about us disabled folk claiming (and therefore living on) approx Β£16500pa. What an unmitigated cnut..

#disability Hello - if you, like me, are absolutely fucked off with the lies spouted by Helen Whately on Kuenssberg this morning, please consider submitting a complaint. The fact that the BBC are not calling out her lies makes them complicit. Thank you. https://t.co/MqK73OWgTk

As bad as Whatley's lies are, just remember, Kunessberg will have a whole team of people fact checking and talking in her earpiece. The whole damn BBC is complicit in these lies - do they honestly think we're that stupid?
In October Tory shadow minister Helen Whately said millions of people with mental health issues get a car through the motability scheme. Guess what? It turns out she was lying #bbclaurak

My life - Every Day of the fucking week I'd swap with someone working, healthy and without a Motability car...
If the PIP life is so glamorous, swap with me, ableists. Take my medications every morning and night. Deal with the side effects and barely being able to do anything because of it. Stop having to do anything you enjoyed, before. Deal with the constant pain from the moment you

This. With bells on.
This wonβt actually save the government or the taxpayer a penny. But this is all about performative cruelty and pandering to people who hate the disabled. https://t.co/MgRJrhnk5s

never underestimate the power of your health to fuck you over. Had minor hand surgery yesterday, and now feel utterly wiped out. Utterly. ;(

well, I've just joined the @RNLI & have bought a couple of nice gifts from them. Seriously - do people think they risk their lives only to ask "can I see your passport?" before rescuing someone?? Racist idiots.
π¨ BREAKING: Thousands of British citizens flooded social media this weekend, declaring they WILL NOT donate to the RNLI. The backlash erupted after leaflets asking for donations to βsave lives at the seaβ were distributed across the nation last week. Will you be donating?

PIP is assessed based on the impact of health problems & disabilities (often multiple & complex) on someone's ability to live independently Saying "we'll stop PIP for people with anxiety" just bears no relation to the reality of how the benefit operates

We canβt say this enough. If people think itβs so easy to fake a disability and fraudulently claim disability benefits then they should go ahead and prove it. Disability benefits are notoriously difficult to get and the process is frustrating, humiliating, exhausting and designed

Hi fellow autists - when you see this, please remember what a number RSD does on you. This silly twit relies on info from ppl who aren't qualified & don't have your best interests at heart. Remember - autism is a neurodevelopmental condition, it can be seen on brain scans. Thx.
Trump: We have a bigger announcement coming⦠it's so big. We can't let people keep doing this. I don't want to wait any longer. If it's wrong -- it's not going to be wrong, but if it is wrong, it's fine⦠we're going to have an announcement on autism. https://t.co/1OqVgFDgyK
