I need an #EnergyTransition / mobile lifestyle ruling on this one @chrisnelder. Does this count as #electrification?

Wellesley was finalizing plans for two new schools and a town hall renovation — all fully electric — when it got an offer from National Grid for $1.5 million to support the electrification. But with a caveat: To get the rebate, it had to install gas lines.
bostonglobe.com
Climate advocates say an offer from National Grid and its terms underscore how the business interests of gas utilities put climate efforts at risk.

The “nice” thing about a 2 1/2 year global pandemic is that we have plenty of N-95 masks sitting by the door to deal with the effects of that other global crisis.

Remember in September when we thought the air quality looked bad? It’s way worse now. Find air quality information via @EcologyWA: https://t.co/FangTY67qu An N-95 mask may be your savior if you have to venture outside in this. This is the view of the Space Needle now.

What if the US Senate passed an international #climate treaty—a pact so powerful that it could avert nearly 1 degree Fahrenheit of global warming—and nobody noticed? Well, that's exactly what just happened!! @robinsonmeyer explains:

Pre-insulation. 1 of 3 mini-split headers. #electrifyeverthing is manifesting before my eyes in the backyard cottage in Seattle. (Planning to add to our strained housing inventory in ~nov if you are looking to rent)

In Ep. 179, @patrickgilman of the DOE’s Wind Energy Technologies Office gives us the update on the nascent US offshore wind sector, which is poised for massive expansion. The US needs to build a LOT of enabling infrastructure & create a lot of good jobs! https://t.co/feQA2gc0mX

THE #InflationReductionAct IS THE LAW!! The Ayes have it! Below marks the moment the full financial might of the federal government aligns behind the clean energy transition. This bill does NOT finish the work. It just makes ALL of it easier from here. That's game-changing.

Americans gave us the House, the Senate, and the White House to deliver on our promises. There’s still more work to do, but the Inflation Reduction Act is a great start. Let’s get this done.

I know this just gets things started but very glad to see that 50th vote. What takes them so long. Do the need to submit stone tablets in triplicate? #voteorama

Just listened to @drvolts podcast with the amazing @JesseJenkins and @leahstokes about the IRA bill. This is our last big chance to get real impactful climate policy in what might be a decade of policy gridlock to come. Its not perfect but its damn good:
