My favourite weekend thing has been to read biographies of female musicians, with their music in the background. I also cherish the monsoon breeze that seems to amplify their music and their personalities in the book!!.

Recently I found the entire David Daiches set tucked deep in my cupboard. Bought the set from a second hand stall in Mumbai over 20 years ago. It has moved cities with me. I definitely do not need it, but can't seem to give up either. Looks like I am not the only one holding on😂.

Love @Bhavikagovil’s new work — large parts of the book are narrated from the perspective of a young girl. It is tender, joyous, and funny, even as she tries to make sense of deeply profound moments.
