When we paid £600 per month on top of mortgages for a #WakingWatching it wasn't tweeted out by @Keir_Starmer. It was difficult to get anyone in Govt to say it was unacceptable, it was almost mandated by them. These increases have been the #BuildingSafetyCrisis reality for years.

Worst thing about Jake Berry's explanation is he thinks saying it was *property developers* as well as hedgies makes it sound better. Developers have given us (in succession) the doubling ground rent and cladding scandals, with perhaps a another over estate rent charges brewing.
