I worked at British Gas. I'm now Octopus' CMO (from early days). BG want us banned from taking new customers, yet we meet Ofgem financial rules, saved taxpayers £bns rescuing Bulb & built huge value. Grateful for our customers. BG should look after theirs, not throw rocks at us

I had a baby just before lockdown. Shops near me out of nappies. @g__j tramped London (whilst on the phone running his business) to find & post some. @OctopusEnergy has revolutionised energy & cares about people - my boss leads from the v front. Huge congrats on your CBE boss 😍

Derya’s an incredible engineer, and leads our UK product team alongside @agile_phil. She's also a woman, which is totally irrelevant to her ability, but sometimes in these kind of technical roles, you can get asked where the boss is (it happened to Derya and I once).
Reading what @OctopusEnergy does feels like looking into the good version of the future: smart women programming smart meters for smart grids bringing green energy to all homes 💜💙🐙 oh did I need something positive today #climatetalks

To all the conspiracy theorists... *No* energy companies have taken meter readings offline. Right now, we have 2500 calls waiting. On a normal busy day, it'd be 150. Yesterday, we increased the number of servers we us by 250% to help with the expected load.

Hey John. I'm the founder. You'll see I started the fund to fight racism, not donate to any specific organisation. As an entrepreneur, ofc I don't want the downfall of capitalism. But I do know how many of our team face shocking racism and want to support them by tackling that.

Love receiving these, but honestly every supplier should be accessible. Every site should be. Accessibility is a requirement and not a nice-to-have.
