Wine stores reporting big weekend for sales of French and Italian wines. What a really silly mistake it would be to slap.them with a 200% tariff. Love domestic wines, but unlike cars it’s not all or nothing. US restaurants depend on variety for customer tastes!.

Five years ago tonight was the final dinner we served before closing each of our restaurants as the pandemic was taking hold. We’re so fortunate that most of them reopened within the year. But Maialino would never reopen in the shuttered Gramercy Park Hotel.
