Judging by the sample of super-wealthy people I've met, I don't think this is true. Luxury cars are a minority taste in all wealth brackets, so there's nothing strange about a billionaire driving a Camry, but likelihood of owning a fancy car only increases as wealth does.

I present the *strong-form* dead internet theory: literally everyone on the internet is a bot, including me, and I was programmed not to realize it. Humans actually went extinct in 2023 or so. What likely happened is SSC's "Shiri's scissor" thought experiment got built for real.
