This report is turning out to be a classic Odd Lots Coalition product, everyone liking it is either a UBS credit analyst or a New School assistant professor of Marxism
OpenAI’s CFO is calling for government guarantees. Why? Because they understand the risk that the data center sector has unwittingly (or maybe wittingly) walked itself into. Our new report explores what’s happening on a project finance level to make sense of the bigger picture.

There's no need to pit these priorities against one another. We can deploy all flavors of capital on climate and global health (with plenty of overlap in that deployment). Better air quality does save lives and it is both a climate and health issue.

But he made some points I don't think are accurate. My biggest criticism would be the false dichotomy between global health and climate. He has spoken in the past on the intersection of these topics. The comment below is a contrived scenario that doesn't exist. We can do both.

People w/PhDs are more likely to be inventors. But do PhDs-->innovation or is it all selection? My brilliant student Manfredi Aliberti finds answer is YES using possibly the best setting : Italy in the 1980s. Read his JMP (and interview him!) to know more https://t.co/FMIaBBNDn2

The Trump administration is canceling an annual government effort to gather data on how many Americans struggle to get enough food that the Agriculture Department began collecting in the mid-90s Employees were told the survey wouldn’t be funded this year

The government has been measuring food insecurity since the mid-1990s but now says the report has become “overly politicized.”

I don't think anyone who's salivating at the prospect of mass political violence or civil war has the foggiest idea of how bad these things are in real life. It's beyond their memory and their imagination.

The alarm bells are already ringing for nuclear. SC governor Henry McMaster recently wrote a letter to Congress saying: "Without the existing federal tax credits and loan programs for nuclear power, our efforts to finish [the] V.C. Summer [project] are dead."

Our live Odd Lots has been cited in the lawsuit
BREAKING: FTC commissioners Alvaro Bedoya and Rebecca Kelly Slaughter have filed suit in federal court against Donald Trump’s attempt to fire them last week, arguing that the action was “in direct violation of a century of federal law and Supreme Court precedent.” (link below)

A clarification on the EV EO—the President can’t unilaterally rescind tax credits. 30D/25E/45W are not impacted. Rescinding the EPA rules does have an impact on scores because of the connection between the rules and credit uptake. But the underlying credits aren’t changed.

If you live in Nevada answer the phone, it may be a call to cure your ballot.
Nevada’s secretary of state, seeing high number of rejected ballots in Clark and Washoe, says one of the biggest issues is that the signatures of younger voters don’t always match what’s on their driver’s licenses: “It’s mostly the fact that young people don’t have signatures
