Proud to have been working on the launch of our campaign with @missingpeople over the last few weeks. The @Independent's goal is to raise ÂŁ165,000 to fund a new, free service called SafeCall, so that the 70,000 children reported missing each year can find safety, no matter what.

The Gunpowder Plot failed #OTD in 1605. The plot was an unsuccessful attempt at regicide against King James VI & I. When he was interrogated by the King, Guy Fawkes said: "I wish to blow the Scottish King and all of his Scottish Lords back to Scotland."

Great & underrated actor. The Limey is an exceptional film. RIP Terence Stamp.
Terence Stamp, the English-born actor celebrated in the 1960s for “Billy Budd,” “The Collector” and “Far From the Madding Crowd,” later known for playing General Zod in the “Superman” films and starring in Steven Soderbergh’s “The Limey,” died Sunday. He was 87.

Extraordinary and a bit scary
ChatGPT lied to Sky's deputy political editor @SamCoatesSky about uploading a transcript for his podcast Politics At Sam and Anne's - instead it invented a fake version. 🎧 https://t.co/eK71EZ52Lm

Very sad to hear the lovely Betty Webb has passed. As a German speaker she was one of the last of those who decoded enemy messages in secret at Bletchley Park in WW2. And one of the 100 people whose stories we wanted to record for posterity. Here is hers. https://t.co/TcRI1ksALU

Hampshire County Council’s Cabinet votes to keep (and save) Stubbington Study Centre and reject a proposal to turn it into a specialist welfare children’s home. Tens of thousands had signed a petition to keep it and thousands marched in protest recently.
