This week in 1967, The Beach Boys kicked off a weekend in Honolulu, Hawaii for live shows. Two concerts on August 25 and 26, featured a rare appearance from Brian, playing a Baldwin organ. A proposed live album, Lei’d in Hawaii, was recorded, but never officially released.

30 years ago today, Brian released his second solo album, I Just Wasn’t Made for These Times. The soundtrack to Don Was’ documentary, it consists of re-recordings of Brian’s past songs, as well as the 1976 of his home demo, “Still I Dream of It.”
