If Wycombe & Boro want their day in court, that's fine, but @EFL threatening #dcfc with liquidation over it is a strategic error of biblical proportions. All they've succeeded in doing is proving they're incapable of running the game and need replacing by an independent regulator

We're now at a point where the situation is, quite starkly, are @EFL prepared to let #dcfc die in order to indulge Gibson and Couhig? And if your take on it is: "They deserve to be liquidated", then you're a prick. Public opinion is swinging our way, #dcfcfans . Keep the faith.

#Boro statement says #dcfc cheated and nobody disputes it. Shame on Mel Morris. But @EFL have handed down a penalty. If every club that broke the rules was hounded into liquidation, we would soon have no game. Gibson cannot be allowed to act as our judge, jury and executioner.

Quantuma's statement clarifies that EFL are now insisting that Wycombe and Boro's dubious £51m "claims" are dealt with before a takeover can happen. This is outrageous and it's now time for ALL #dcfcfans to unite against the EFL, whose behaviour is threatening our club's future

#dcfc have now accumulated 40 points at home this season - the same tally as Fulham and WBA and one more than Bournemouth. Given the restrictions Rooney and co have operated under, that is an absolutely astonishing achievement. It's been a great season to watch at Pride Park.

Can everyone take a step back, breathe and agree it's insane that if #dcfc goes out of business, it will ultimately be because #Boro finished 7th, not 6th in 2018? ANY club can suffer bad ownership. ALL clubs should be protected and given the chance to rebuild from the wreckage

Ryan is spot on here. In a crisis where HMRC and other actual creditors are expected to accept pennies in the pound, why on earth should Boro and Wycombe elbow them out of the way to claim millions and be abetted in that flagrant shakedown by @EFL ? This is complete insanity!

Not getting my hopes up, but it's lovely of him to say so. Brilliant young defender, with the heart of a lion. Thanks a million for your sterling efforts this season, @fikayotomori_ 👋👋👋

There seems to be a bit of doom and gloom among #dcfcfans at the minute, so I thought it might be a nice idea to highlight some of the many positives / reasons to be cheerful we have at the minute 🐏👇

If, as a #Boro fan, you come on here to argue with a #dcfc fan about the niceties of Gibson's legal claim, what you're actually doing is trying to justify to that person why their club deserves to be liquidated. Please show empathy. Because I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy

There's only one way to solve this. 'Mad' Mel Morris v Sluggin' Steve Gibson. Get 'em in the ring. Three rounds - no holds barred. Stream it on RamsTV for the world to enjoy. #dcfc would make millions... We could even give #Boro a taste! (Nothing for you, Couhig.)

When #dcfc signed Ravel Morrison, I asked a follower of one of his previous clubs about him and was told he was a "standard dickhead", who would let us down. Turns out all he needed was the right manager.

One or two folks are giving me shit for 'moaning', so I will send one more, before logging off. I am pro-Phillip Cocu. Think he's the right man to take us forward. However, I see no justification whatsoever for not picking the strongest possible team tonight. Good night.

The moment when @Huddz8 flicked the ball nonchalantly over his opponent's head and controlled it dead, before trundling forward like a velvet-clad tank and stinging the keeper's palms with a rasping shot was worth the price of admission alone.

Personal opinion, but IMO it's just really refreshing to see a #dcfc kit without a massive gambling advert spoiling it.

I can't get my head around the fact that England are about to play in the European Championship, in England, and the players are going to be booed before kick-off by a subset of their own supporters. There is no valid reason to boo the players for taking the knee.

In Brian Clough's first season as manager, #dcfc finished 18th in Division Two. From the end of September until the end of the campaign, his team won just six league games. Would he have been given a second chance in the Twitter era?

Thought George Thorne showed that he could handle the step up to Premier League tonight. Please, #dcfc , get his contract extension sorted...

It's been an incredibly brave fight from #dcfc , but Reading's win today, in all probability, leaves us with too much to do. It's mathematically possible and they will battle on for us til the end, but 8 points adrift with 7 to go feels like one too many snookers are required.

Barring unforeseen circumstances, #dcfc are going to start a second season under the same manager for the first time since Nigel Clough. Phillip Cocu has put an end to the chop-and-change era. He's tough and smart enough to provide the stability we need to progress.

Tonight was the first #dcfc game since "The Incident" in which none of the Eight Amigos started. 🤔
