@Adelgary Onchain privacy-by-obfuscation is still publishing sensitive data in the global ledger, but obfuscating it by putting more of it (incentive incompatible). Like Monero or CoinJoin (except some PayJoins or CISA scenarios). Offchain privacy-by-omission is *not* publishing sensitive

Incredible. Bitcoin artists aren't just about beauty, but also about deep technical insight.
Creating Bitcoin keys securely entirely off-line. I made this (extremely ugly but) functional prototype Codex32 wooden computer that can calculate Bitcoin keys using nothing more than dice, some paper and a pen. You do all the math by hand, including calculating the checksum.

Conclusion&TLDR: instead of warning Bitcoin developers about imaginary, silver-bullet, zero-cost, known-since-yars, protocol-level changes, Snowden could more effectively *educate* Bitcoin *users* about realistic and ongoing Bitcoin privacy R&D...maybe funding it too.

Sad to see many Bitcoiners parroting this absolutely misguided "hot take". Consensus-rule-changes to enhance privacy in Bitcoin may be possible someday and a good thing to pursue! But it's important to get there using sound logic, and this is not it. In order of relevance, here
I've been warning Bitcoin developers for ten years that privacy needs to be provided for at the protocol level. This is the final warning. The clock is ticking.

Great example of what lightning enables. The main reason we don't see massive lightning use yet, is simply that most people prefer to HODL.
Three minutes and twenty six seconds. Thatβs all it took to send β¬10 from my own @umbrel node and @ZeusLN wallet to @Strike, and then to @krakenfx, and finally to @coinbase. Lightning is finally starting to become the payment rails it was promised to be.

You cannot "own" #Bitcoin in the traditional sense of owning stuff. No matter what governments, courts, chain-anal people, or anyone else tells you, there is no way of proving that someone DOESN'T know a string of information such as a private key. π§΅π

The ambiguity and arbitrariness of modern financial regulations around the world make the βrule of lawβ a total joke. The fuzziness of rules combined with dire consequences of non-compliance ensure itβs inevitable that both of these happen simultaneously: 1) Many companies

Bitcoin has given me everything. Not because I desired much. Or won many battles against others. But because I served well, and it needed me to serve better. That's my advice to everyone that wants more: Serve Bitcoin. Not yourself.

Big battles are brewing. Honestly, I never even expected we'd get this far. Very grateful we have. Much respect to all the wonderful people and the unsung heroes who have helped get us to where we are. It has really made a huge difference to the lives of many people. π
