If you're an SF "moderate" I've probably filed an ethics complaint against you. Writer, Decathlete. He/They or whatever pronoun upsets you the most. Devin's Dad

1/2 - Why I care about the SFDA recall/race: My son, a straight-A Berkeley student and amazing kid, recently died of an accidental overdose; the drug he purchased was not the drug intended. The war on drugs and criminalization of substance use killed him; unsafe drug dealing,...

@DHSgov This battle was in Cuba, in the Spanish-American war, and many of the Rough Riders spoke Spanish.

This is a strange one. He had to resign from AOC's office in a corruption scandal where he created shell companies in his own name to hide money from disclosure rules, and was under federal investigation. He uses AOC's photo to campaign but she's never said his name since 2019
“I used to work as a programmer and so I actually have knowledge here,” he said. “That means when a tech CEO comes in front of me at a congressional hearing and they try to bullshit me, I’ll call their BS.”

@ryangrim @agentdoubleMI @briebriejoy @hyphy_republic Saikat's SF political donations in 2024 were to a slate of Chris Larsen candidates called Dems for Change, an offshoot of Larsen's Fairshake PAC, which spent millions to primary Justice Democrats, and against DSA. He burned any cred he had with Bernie, AOC, and JD intentionally

Donald Lurie doesn't say what she did was terrible, he said dealing with the "new information" would be a "distraction."

A) this was a cruel thing to do to a kid, even if she’s an asshole. It was on Lurie to vet her. B) it’s pretty gross to see people more upset about Lurie hiring a kid with a skanky pet store & sloppy books than a craven sociopath building tax payer subsidized suicide machines
Newly appointed San Francisco Supervisor Beya Alcaraz has agreed to resign at the request of Mayor Lurie following questions about her political qualifications and rocky management of a pet store.

Hey just because they're taking over the streets and sidewalks, have "mental and drug issues," are stabbing and murdering each other, and are making drunken death threats to city Supervisors - that doesn't give you the right to talk about tech bros like that.
@decadimitry open drug use is deadly and makes city unsafe for families with children. I dont want my kids to see junkies anywhere in the city. SF's future belong to families with children, not to people with mental and drug issues

Saikat is so pro-Palestine that he gave $25K to a PAC supporting this person
Free Palestine is not a peace movement. It is an anti-Jew pro-war movement. Just look at the slogans. “Globalize the Intifada” means people all around the world must support efforts to destroy Israel, including violence. “By any means necessary” means if Israeli civilians

Yes let's build a giant tower a few blocks away tho that should work.
Just in: The drawn-out foreclosure of the San Francisco Centre comes to a close with a winning bid of $133 million. Less than a decade ago, it was valued at more than $1.2 billion. 📝: @KevinNguyen_89

What people outside SFBay don't realize is we've specifically been dealing with frauds and grifters pretending to hold liberal or progressive principals for about five years now. It's the main strategy of tech overlords here, because of the perceived liberalness of the region

I could write a grad-school level dissertation about all the many ways this is regressive, deadly, classist, racist, and cruel. Prohibition and criminalization of drug use has failed by every metric you can measure it by, every time. Your "Liberal" Mayor, everyone:
This new law enforcement sobering center marks a fundamental change in San Francisco: If you do drugs on our streets, we will arrest you. And with this new resource, we will give you a real chance to enter recovery.

This person from Ireland understands SF (and to a large extent, US) politics better than nearly every voter in SF.
@AyendeChand @decadimitry This is where is starts, is the yank left so naive to realised that bougies/careerist/wellheeled-wellmeaning rad libs will come in when a movement gets some success to "lead" and sideline the original radicalism for dirty compromises with the elite once in power-love from Ireland

Here's the law - it's very clear. The IRS even says "indirectly" participating in any political campaign, because they know this is common and criminals are creative. https://t.co/wfoRy7bSEA

The ways rich people can bypass the spending limit on political candidates is staggering - just hire them for your 501c3 (like Republican megadonor Obendorf did with DA Jenkins,) while they work for your 501c4 campaign. This practice is illegal under IRS law, yet here it is.
@neo_antiquarian @saikatc @TerrellSocialst It looks like he probably also donated more than $90k to Bilal. It looks like Saikat is admitting this was him funding this. Very clever. Hiring Bilal through a donation to a 501c3, to pay him a personal income as a political candidate, and have it be fully tax deductible.

@KarthikForTexas The fact that Saikat wants to claim he’s for San Francisco while using not one ounce of his organizing savvy and experience to fight back against the billionaire class purchasing political power using recalls - which he has NEVER COMMENTED ON- is disqualifying.

If Saikat had said "I'm a moderate Dem with yimby roots and strong personal feelings about the genocide in gaza" the latter would have let me swallow some pride and vote accordingly. But he ran as a socialist progressive after backing Bilal and I'm going to help bury his campaign
@TerrellSocialst I have in the past. There were two progressives in that race. I had worked with Bilal in the past on climate legislation and even did an op-ed with him about a Green New Deal for California. I backed him because I felt he was for policies I supported, and he had a focus on how

@MHurabiell I hope you're closing down the hundreds of safe consumption sites all over SF, called "bars" and "restaurants." And apothecaries! And they just give away consumption materials- I went to a safe consumption event where they were playing loud music and they were giving these away.
