New study: How to assess the quality of cost-effectiveness analyses?. We developed a CHEQUE tool: .1) differentiating reporting vs. methods quality.2) accounting for the "relative importance" of different attributes.3) w/ a free, web-based scoring system.

Methodologically, we applied a concept of decremental cost-effectiveness analysis. Decremental CEA quantifies what level of savings a society would be willing to accept (i.e., lower lifetime spending on GLP-1 drugs) to potentially forgo some long-term health benefits!.

How to balance innovation and affordability in GLP-1s for obesity treatment?. We suggest a weight maintenance program: initial GLP-1s treatment, followed by lower-cost AOMs or diet/behavioral support, with modeling to show explicit long-term trade-offs.

As always, a thoughtful piece by my colleagues @TuftsCEVR. I'd like to emphasize that dynamic pricing should be applied to both "comparator" and "intervention", meaning that it could make the intervention's cost-effectiveness "less or more favorable, depending on the context".
In this new @Health_Affairs Forefront article led by @mel_whittington, we argue that the #IRA's drug price provisions make the case for including dynamic pricing in cost-effectiveness analysis even more compelling. @TuftsCEVR @UW_Pharmacy @SchaefferCenter.
