This is bizarre. Not the nickname thing. The willfully being offended thing. Whether you agree with the Government's response to fascist riots is one thing, pretending the Government have said nothing about it is odd. It takes less than 5 minutes to find out this is just wrong

I can’t imagine if Jewish people were being hounded on the streets by far-right lynch mobs that Kid Starver would be this quiet. The hierarchy of racism that Diane Abbott spoke of is real.

Best thing written on this. Many seem to have jumped the gun.

Despite my better judgement, I watched the 'Last Supper' clip from the opening ceremonies that everyone was outraged about. One thing that was bugging me: "why tf is Bacchus in front of the Last Supper? That doesn't even make any sense." I recalled a painting from my many art

“People are developing magical beliefs that AI is going to transform everything in healthcare very soon. It isn’t: most of us use significant healthcare resources during the first two years and last six months of our lives.

Birmingham, the night of the count. Labour’s Jess Phillips is announced the winner on stage for Yardley. In an attempt to get a photo of the candidates on stage, am standing among a throng of men on the counting hall floor supporting the workers party candidate. They boo Jess,

The right response to Blair’s interjections is to nod and move on. We do not need to indulge the fantastic ideas of a man who has consistently demonstrated a complete lack of understanding of technology

One of Blair's great weaknesses was his naivete when it came to "this one big thing fixes everything" visions from tech hucksters

Tony Blair has a long piece in the Sunday Times saying the only possible economic game changer is Artificial Intelligence, and I'm wondering if you substitute that for "the Internet" and take us back to his time in power... well, what have we learned from that?

This is so personal for me -It’s taken 14 years to see another Muslim woman take a seat at that Cabinet table- I’ve waited to see this moment and we got the best ❤️ So proud to see @ShabanaMahmood become the first BAME Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary Huge role - brilliant

The “disappointing majority” narrative has really taken hold overnight. I’m already seeing people say, “well this fragile coalition means Labour won’t win in 2029.” Right, but they did just win in 2024 and now they get to be the government for a bit? That’s the headline.

Apparently if you disagree that vouchers is the only way to solve poverty this is what happens. Some on the left always try to bully their way through politics & caricature the right as evil (or scum) for merely disagreeing. I’m afraid that sort of politics just doesn’t work
