Commodity markets have not been kind to agricultural producers and landowners so far in 2025. When the Spring Crop Insurance Projected Prices (PPs) were established in February, corn stood at $4.70/bu. and soybeans were at $10.54/bu. Current Chicago Board of Trade futures prices

You have to wonder if both Mexico and "unknown" are buying corn anticipating trade troubles after the new U.S. President is inaugurated in January. Or maybe export demand for grains is just that good for more fundamental reasons.
🇺🇸Massive U.S. #corn sales last week (4.18 mmt; 164.7 mbu; slightly above all trade estimates). Fifth-largest sales for any week in at least 20 years. Mexico and unknown accounted for 79% of the 2024/25 volume. Sales of #soybeans were the 2nd largest for any week in over a year.
