Surely one of the most aggravating things about QE and the inflation it causes is that it affects us disproportionately. Newly printed money goes to governments and banks first, so they can spend it before the impact is reflected in prices. By the time you get hold of it, it is.

The genius act is a desperate attempt by the US government to try and increase demand for the dollar so they can sell more debt. The dollar needs stablecoins far more than stablecoinns need the dollar.

When I had a real job, I never took a pension. Everyone else did. Pension funds hold a huge share of government debt, and that government debt keeps growing. If you think governments one day defaulting and wiping out an entire generation’s pensions sounds bad, it’s much worse.
