In case anyone is checking, not using Twitter has really improved my life. I've been happier, less ranty, calmer. Not deleting, but I'll leave it a bit longer. Hopefully there's a way to just interact with friends and you cool people on here and skip the many negatives. Peace🤍
This site is very angry-making. Time for a nice long break I think. I managed to quit FB, I can probably quit Twitter too.

"Hi, just thought we'd let you know that even if you've got no drugs in your house we can kick your doors in perfectly legally. We're not threatening or anything, honest. Anyway here's a couple of pictures of people's broken doors only it's OK because we're the Police."

My code must be completely incomprehensible because PHPStorm is suggesting I download an Asturian spelling and grammar checker, and as far as I'm aware that's a fictional fantasy country from the Belgariad.

The Met Police won’t be telling the public about new partygate fines until after the local elections. In other words: the Met is suppressing information that could swing voters against the Conservatives. Another institution that seems to hold voters and democracy in contempt.

I love how we need a committee to decide if Boris Johnson misled Parliament when he was filmed doing it and we all watched it live.

I was on a dating app and a guy jokingly wrote “what should we name our first child?” as his intro message and I had to tell him that in fifth grade I lost a bet to my best friend Hannah and have to without question name my first born child Megatron and then the man unmatched me

Fucking unreal. Trashing a park and taking away seats for old people at the behest of a property developer who doesn't want their investment devalued by teenagers being teenagers. Context is everything but this does not look good.

Netflix has lost 200,000 subscribers. Sounds like 200,000 young people just got on the housing ladder! 🙃🎉

Today in 1653 Cromwell burst into Parliament and roared, "Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there one vice you do not possess?... In the name of God, go!" Relatable

So...he only broke the law for selfish reasons. Yeah, wow. STUNNING defence of PM Johnson. Cicero himself couldn't have summoned up such an eloquent and well reasoned argument. You can retire now, you've peaked.

I'll probably lose my nerd card over this, but when I saw the latest Picard episode, I initially thought 'ooh Bashir yay!', then spent fifteen seconds thinking 'weird, Alexander Siddig sounds a bit different' followed by 'COME THE FUCK ON BRIDGET!' when the penny finally dropped.
Anyone else catch that Maurice Picard was played by the same actor that portrayed Gaius Baltar in Battlestar Galactica?

Some of this has got to be down to their lack of an ethical stance on certain 'edgy' performers. There's brave, bold satire and then there's punching down for easy viewing stats, and Netflix desperately need to start telling the two apart.
