My colleagues in @aheadireland @NDPAC_ and I were delighted to support @Researchirel in developing this new Disability Supplement. Thanks to all the disabled researchers in the LaunchPAD community that contibuted, and to Research Ireland for inviting them into the design process.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the pilot Disability Policy and Supplemental Grant. This initiative aims to support researchers with a disability/disabilities by funding required, eligible accommodations. For more information visit:.

Familiar story. We could do so much in Ireland to address the disability employment gap if we build a welfare system based on empathy and human rights, which addresses the *added* cost of living with a disability without seeming to punish people for working and building a career.
Amy is a single mum on long term sickness benefits. She’s never had a full-time job, and is worried about what might happen if she got one.
