Nine supremely talented artists, representing their football heroes through various disciplines and media. An exhibition on those people who have truly made their mark on the game, opening to the public on Friday 17 May.

Operational issues After a long period of being too cold, and too wet, sadly the museum is too hot and too dry. Why can’t we achieve the optimal ‘overcast with outbreaks of sunshine and 19.28 degrees’ more frequently?

Another lovely donation this week - this time from Paul Wade Self described "gofer" for BBC Outside Broadcasts at the 1966 World Cup, where he looked after foreign radio broadcasters, as he spoke 🇩🇪🇫🇷🇪🇸 Paul later covered WC's for the World Service. Love the staff pass!

We’ve had an amazing #TakeoverDay at @footballmuseum! We’ve had new curators, conservators, and exhibition designers for the day thanks to @kidsinmuseums. Staff can now put our feet up with the museum in the safe hands of @StMarysMossSide ⚽️

We've loved our #TakeoverDay, it's made us look at the museum and galleries differently, and we've had lots of feedback from @StMarysMossSide about how we can make it more fun for children - we can't wait for the next one! @kidsinmuseums @FootballMuseum
