Like so many, I'm absolutely gutted at this news. And everything in this tribute is true — Todderick's infectious personality was such a warm welcome on our staff. Forget about the great work he did for us. He was just a great person. RIP. https://t.co/3x7csL0M1r

Breaking news: WE WON!!!!!!!! We've reached a tentative agreement with Gannett on a 2-year deal with strong salary floors and delivers life-changing raises to many of our members. We’re also thrilled for our @hvnewsguild comrades, who also reached a TA. https://t.co/WBxIw9GcGm

So proud of my former colleagues at the Asbury Park Press. They put in the hard work and did it, even in the face of abhorrent behavior by Gannett corporate bigwigs and editors. If you haven’t unionized your paper, do it now.
We did it. Last week, @appmcjguild members voted 94% in a strike vote. 24 hours later, we reached a handshake deal on a contract (and @hvnewsguild the day after). Strikes work.

The @appmcjguild is bargaining all day today. If Gannett management doesn't get serious about settling a fair contract, our members are ready to walk off the job (with @hvnewsguild). If/when that happens, we'll need all the help we can get. https://t.co/l7DIxzhNSu

With @rocnewsguild on strike and Gannett sticking to a proposal that would cut pay for most of us, the APP contingent of @appmcjguild is working together today (for the first time in years and, for some people, ever!) to remember why we're in this fight in the first place.

A bad call in a New Jersey high school basketball game that caused Manasquan to lose to Camden is setting up to be a legal battle centering on the willingness of a court to change the outcome of a game. A really interesting case that I just wrote about: https://t.co/ebB3mLPisK.

"(Fifteen) kids got screwed in front of 1,000 people. Print that. Print it five times. Those three guys huddled up and they screwed these kids in front of 1,000 people and that video will be on the internet for everyone to see." That's quite a quote!
