Some ugly numbers: — Rutgers gave up 52 points in the paint and 14 offensive rebounds on 28 missed shots, leading to 14 second-chance points. — Rutgers had nearly as many turnovers (18) as made field goals (19).

Final: Seton Hall 81, Rutgers 59. The biggest margin of victory for either team in the rivalry since Seton Hall beat Eddie Jordan's final RU team by 29 points in 2015:

Half: Seton Hall 35, Rutgers 21. After RU cut its deficit to 1 point, the Pirates close the half on a 17-4 run. RU missed 9 of their last 10 shot attempts, with one make in the final 10:35. They are shooting 27.3% from the floor, with 1/3 of their points on free throws.

Steve Pikiell calls a timeout as Seton Hall takes a game-high 33-17 lead with 1:51 left in the first half. Rutgers has gotten as many shots blocked (6) as it has put in the basket. The Scarlet Knights have 13 turnovers in 30 possessions. Rough.

U4: Seton Hall 26, Rutgers 17. Through 16 minutes, Rutgers has more than twice as many turnovers (13) as made shots (6). And when they haven't given the ball away, the Scarlet Knights have missed five of their last six shots.

Emmanuel Ogbole checks in after sitting out for 10 minutes because he picked up two fouls in the first five minutes of the game. He picked up his third foul 17 seconds after coming off the bench and was promptly subbed out again.

U8: Seton Hall 18, Rutgers 14. Scarlet Knights have eight turnovers, have conceded six offensive rebounds on 13 missed shots, is 4-of-8 on layups and 1-of-4 on threes. To only be down 4 points after 13 minutes is a minor miracle.

Rutgers responds with a 12-4 run to cut its deficit to 15-12 early. Lino Mark (4 points), Bryce Dortch (2) and Darren Buchanan (2) all scored at the rim while Harun Zrno hit the only three of the game so far. On other end, Seton Hall has missed seven of its last eight shots.
