Rutgers coach Greg Schiano's usual Monday press conference is being pushed back to Tuesday this week (and likely moving forward), I'm told. No specific reason given.

Illinois lands at No. 23. If they beat Washington this weekend, the Illini will be ranked when they host Rutgers on Nov. 1. It will be the Scarlet Knights' only realistic chance to end its 16-year streak without a ranked win, because they have no shot against No. 1 Ohio State.

Abram Wright and Kaj Sanders were yelling at each other while pointing in different directions before the snap, then after giving up a first down, continued yelling at each other. Play gets called back for a hold, but not a great sign from the Rutgers defense.

"We did the very best we could." Greg Schiano sounded like a coach who is out of answers after Oregon gained 750 (!!!) yards in a blowout win over Rutgers on Homecoming. Now what? Column: https://t.co/zX195Ojj2A

Rutgers conceded 750 yards to Oregon, the most it has conceded in the Big Ten era, the most conceded by a Power Four defense this season and quite possibly the most in a single game in program history:

Final: No. 8 Oregon 56, Rutgers 10. Rutgers has not been blown out often in Greg Schiano’s second stint, but this one was as bad as the 78-0 and 58-0 losses of the disastrous Chris Ash era:
