#ICYMI we published the definitive list for NJ sports fans — picking a sports claim to fame for every single one of the state's 564 towns (well almost). We need 34 more to fill out the list. If you can help, we have a one-of-a-kind NJ prize for you! https://t.co/S9EgkbAqxn

Our project pinpointing the sports claim to fame of every New Jersey town generated dozens of emails. Here's what readers had to say.

South Jersey stand up! Per capita, this faction of the state has produced some of the biggest names in sports from Carl Lewis to Carli Lloyd to Mike Trout and even the original baseball HOF snub Hardy Richardson. Here's Part 5! https://t.co/j2pbas8eoR

Did you know the Jersey Devil can ride waves? Dean Randazzo, of Somers Point, may be one of NJ's greatest sports exports. Then there are history-making champs like Martin Truex, Todd Frazier and so many more who call the Shore home. Here's Part 4. https://t.co/kov4OfbURD

Central Jersey! Not only does it exist, it has some of my favorite selections from this list. From Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone to Pete Carril to Karl Towns to Mikey Nichols to bed races and the birthplace of college football! https://t.co/SV9NK50xjM

As our esteemed wrestling dynamo @Jake_Aferiat pointed out, you can't tell the story of Northwest jersey without some grappling. So here's our definitive list of sports history for Passaic, Morris, Sussex and Warren counties. https://t.co/yVfGFUgmsa

The bad news: Our pro teams stink. The good news: We've got the sports claim to fame of every single New Jersey town coming this week, and most of them are quite good! Tomorrow: North Jersey, Part 1.

So glad to have Bob on our team. He's a terrific journalist and reporter. First question though: Do I have to challenge you to a wrestleoff to cover Raritan's next dual?
🚨 Career update… I’m excited to announce I’ve joined the team at @HSSportsNJ and @njdotcom as a sports reporter. I’ll be diving right in as part of the statewide girls soccer beat while helping out with some football coverage. I’m thrilled to join one of the best sports

Shoutout to the real ones at Dorf who would have taken this box score over the phone if it happened before 2014. I'm not just talking about entering the 121 points but also figuring out Jaiden Gonzalez caught two touchdowns from Jayden Gonzalez. Epic! https://t.co/2dvTpoVnuX

This one was hard to write. I've known Todderick for nearly 20 years, since he was cutting his teeth covering Rutgers recruiting through recent years covering culture and race. He was an incredible guy and a great reporter. I'll miss him a lot.

Todderick Hunt was a pioneer on New Jersey's high school and college football recruiting scene.
