Please don’t listen to DHH. ADHD is real. Medicine can help with ADHD, but it’s not right for everybody. Being diagnosed with ADHD didn’t make me feel like I suddenly had an excuse for the way my brain works - but it did help me have grace for myself and others like me ❤️
Pathologizing "forgetfulness", "attraction to novelty", "high standards", "failure to break/form new habits" is pathologizing the human condition. I'd absolutely tick all those boxes, but I don't need a prescription to stimulants, so you can keep the label.
