I thought about Markdown links for weeks now. and I think I cracked the code. - cmd + k to make a link (cmd + p for command palette).- tab once to edit the link.- tab again to visit the link.- esc to go back to editing. Would you use it?

I'm tired of X stealing my attention with 🔔 notification counts and For You recommendations. So, I asked @warpdotdev to build me a chrome extension. I present to you: Unhook Twitter. - Hide the notification button.- Hide home feeds so you can focus on posting

Here's the fancily styled version. Forcing myself to not do styling until all the functionality is there 😄

For context: I'm building my own markdown editor, and I want to make a video series as I build it. I know it can be good (no, WILL be good), but I also want a frame of reference to decide how to structure the narrative, get clickthroughs on title/thumbnail, etc.

Are there any YouTubers you like that walk through a project they’re building (other than video game dev logs)? If so, please share. Looking for inspo!.

By the way, you can set the user's text selection color with the ::selection pseudo element:. ProseMirror ::selection {. background-color: rgba(40, 200, 64, 0.3);.}.

If you wanna know how, it really is this simple. Prosemirror provides a `coordsAtPos()` function to do all the calculations. Wrap in a DOMRect and you can do all sorts of floating UI. I'm using floating-ui/dom here, a gold standard for popovers. Their docs are amazing

Figured out custom cursors (no not that cursor. ).- Style-able for custom colors and border radius.- Animate-able with CSS transitions.- Anchor for UI, like links. Still tweaking the animations, but feels nice!

Here it is in context. I'm thinking that you'll create links using visible [brackets], but the link itself will be handled in the popup. Fixes an issue I have with other Markdown editors where long links get in the way while you're navigating around.

I spent 4 hours designing this popup for links in my markdown editor. You know what? Worth it.
