I have talked to a LOT of foreign national professionals over the years and I always hear the same thing: Exploring immigration is overwhelming. We’ve put together an incredible collection of resources to help global talent navigate joining the world of cap-exempt H-1Bs. #h1b

My biggest lesson of 2024 was thinking that asking for help was weakness. I was gravely misguided. My lesson of 2025? People are willing to help. People are willing to put in time to see you succeed. We just need to be brave enough to ask.

Such a fun night yesterday bringing together some of the most passionate founders, operators, & VCs in NYC! Nothing better than bringing rockstar women together IRL 👯‍♀️ P.S. - How epic is this outdoor table in breezy 60 degree weather? The magic of NYC!

Immigration News! Indians in the US on H-1B may need to plan longer trips home for renewal. You’re only eligible to skip an in-person interview if your visa expired <12months ago, a silent change from <48mos. Interview slots are very limited. Another day, yet another setback.

I said it then and I’ll say it now. We need to re-imagine immigration policy. How about we award foreign nationals with status for training the future American workforce in high demand fields? No legislative change necessary. We can use cap-exempt h-1bs. @elonmusk

A rule overhauling eligibility for H-1B specialty occupation visas is being reviewed by the White House, the final hurdle before its release. The Biden administration is aiming to finalize the rule with a short window before the end of its term.

“Over 30,000 employers had at least one H-1B petition approved in FY 2024, and 70% of new H-1B petitions went to employers that filed 100 or fewer applications for initial employment, indicating the category’s economy-wide importance.” @gsiskind @SIIA_US

Foreign talent: “You’re telling me I can work 5 hours training students in my field and get sponsored for a cap-exempt H-1b?” Me: “Yes, you can.” Foreign talent: “And I can then also work for my current employer or even my own company.” Me: “You got it.”

Honoring our brave servicemen and women today 🇺🇸 Most Americans don't know that immigrants have served in the U.S. Armed Forces in every major conflict in American history. 700,000 foreign-born veterans, many of whom are now U.S. citizens, live in the U.S. today.

I talk to so many foreign nationals who really just need time to speak to attorneys about their case. I am thinking of starting a community where I host weekly small circle breakfasts with immigration attorneys to get questions answered in person. Thoughts?
