Incorrect, still not confirmed. He woke up
It’s finally confirmed that Duncan wasn’t knighted by Ser Arlan before his death, and it’s such an important aspect of his character. Even without being a “real” knight, he proves himself truer than many who actually hold the title. #AKOTSK

@vsq8i @sullibible Still a mystery. But she fought as a mystery knight, which angered the Mad King. He ordered Rhaegar to find/arrest the mystery knight. Something clearly happened during that search, cause afterward Rhaegar fought hard to win the tourney & then crowned her Queen of Love and Beauty

Y’all have to understand: adapting a story for TV & making changes so it works on screen is fine. Even book fans can appreciate that. I prefer some TV portrayals, like Viserys I and Aerion, to the books. But rewriting key elements to make it “your own story”? That’s different
Just finished reading Fire & Blood and I can say with my whole chest I cannot take book purists seriously

@Mayham_H That’s the thing. They both lost! In legacy and name, Aegon’s reign is recorded as legitimate. But in blood, it was Rhaenyra’s line that endured. Depending on who was fighting for what, they both took an L, and the realm burned for it. Tragic and fantastic storytelling

@sullibible Prophecy. He believed he had to fulfill the three-headed dragon. Elia was frail, and the maesters warned that another pregnancy could kill her. I have a theory she knew. This is a man who only ever picked up a sword because prophecy told him to. He didn’t even like violence

Never understood Rhaegar hate. Thought everyone put it together. GRRM doesn’t break the 4th wall, he writes from POVs/accounts. The victors write history, so he “kidnapped” Lyanna. Yet before that, everyone, including Tywin, who liked no one, described Rhaegar as honorable…

I am really glad that they gave Aerion some combat skills. I doubt that Baelor or Maekar wouldn't have trained their sons after their experiences in the rebellion. good choice by director and actor
he was going crazy with that morning star. quick and agile i was very surprised by his combat skills
