@ERSpublications Alternate way to put it: IPC improves QoL as much as conventional chest drain/pleurodesis; as also shown in TIME-2 & AMPLE-1 with different instruments of assessment. Key message: choose IPC vs chest drain on other considerations eg procedure avoidance etc. @d33pan @Charlies_Resp

An incredibly inspiring lecture by Professor @YCGaryLee at the @HMRIAustralia Inaugural Asthma and Breathing programme meeting on why research is so important with insights on how to start. The smallest projects with minimal resources can have a huge impact on patient care!

Omicron can be renamed the silver wave. Little respiratory illness but lots and lots of frail older folk with falls, delirium, functional decline needing geriatricians, PT/OT/SS and care home beds and we have nowhere near enough. Really exacerbates a long standing problem.

Is it just me, or is this vaguely reminiscent of a medical student at their first conference presenting a poster... both in terms of delivery and the quality of analysis. Actually, I apologize future medics, I know that YOU atleast appreciate that the denominator matters!
