Big moment for @MFTnhs and a lot of hard work to get to this point. First step of an MFT-wide roll out of this service in the coming weeks. 2022 will see a comprehensive tobacco dependency treatment offer for all patients admitted to this very large trust 👏👏 @HistoryMakersGM
1/3 Best of luck to our brand new team of @CureProjectMCR specialist stop smoking nurses who are starting at @NorthMcrGH_NHS today! 👏

Absolutely vital piece of research published this morning. Fourth wave contingency planning needs to take this into account. Thanks for organising @LPearmain! @patrick_goodley @Bemplex @timwfelton
Very excited to see our paper looking at mortality in hypoxic #COVID19 patients unlikely to benefit from ITU care. Shows conventional oxygen had similar mortality to CPAP in our multi-centre evaluation. A fantastic regional collaboration @nwcorr @MFTnhs @PRCBlackpool

“A common theme I see is the role illegal tobacco has to play in getting people started on smoking and undermining smokers’ attempts to quit.” @MatthewEvison1 explains the role of the #KeepItOut campaign in efforts to make smoking history:

A pleasure to present the BTS Thoracic Ultrasound Training Standard at #RCPEresp20 on behalf of a number of colleagues. Truly hope it has the impact that it has the potential to. @jp_jespark @BTSrespiratory @NHSmallwood @geordielungdoc @lolaloewenthal @markxroberts

My husband is an EU migrant. I am the daughter of immigrants. Dad & I have given 68yrs to the NHS between us. When they talk about ‘other’ and ‘sending them back’, they are talking about my husband, my father, (me?) Pls use your vote wisely. Don’t vote for division & hate.

Great news. Progress being made. This needs to be on everyone’s agenda. @NHS take note. It is categorically THE most economically cost effective intervention available in healthcare and we absolutely cannot ignore the facts.
A pleasure to get together with the CURE teams soon to be launching CURE across GM in early 2020. Some really interesting service models planned and I’m sure we will learn from each other. The potential of this work is huge! Exciting times @CureProjectMCR @freya_howle @GM_Cancer
