DOH Deputy Commissioner Brandon McGee spoke at the Hartford Land Bank’s ribbon cutting of 156 Mather Street. This was a blighted building in the Clay Arsenal neighborhood of Hartford that will now be an opportunity for homeownership.

DOH Commissioner Seila Mosquera-Bruno spoke at the groundbreaking of Oak Grove in Norwalk, which will bring 69 new units of which 52 will be affordable to the city. DOH contributed $5.8 million in funding to the project.

Commissioner Mosquera-Bruno joined @LGSusanB, @CHFA_RockyHill, and @HUDNewEngland at the groundbreaking for phase I of the West Hartford Fellowship Housing redevelopment. The project will replace 23 of existing 24 buildings with six new buildings, and add 87 additional units.

DOH Deputy Commissioner Brandon McGee and other officials attended the ribbon cutting of the upgraded Portland Senior Center today. The Center has upgraded kitchens and HVAC, as well as added a generator so it can serve as a warming/cooling center during emergencies.

Yesterday, Commissioner Seila Mosquera-Bruno, @govnedlamont, state and local officials highlighted a $11.2 million CIF grant that will facilitate the demolition of the existing Enfield Manor and construction of 99 new apartments for elderly and disabled households.

Deputy Commissioner Brandon McGee attended the ribbon cutting of 196 Homestead Ave in Hartford today. This 6-unit rental property was vacant and blighted for years before local developer Jose Salazar took on the project with support from the Hartford Land Bank.
