The omicron variant is NOT mild. Hospitalisations are 40-45% less likely than with the delta variant ( https://t.co/bXviAIeBld), but the delta variant is >2x more severe than the original strain ( https://t.co/dGNXc0smso). The omicron variant is AT LEAST as bad as the 2020 virus.

Complete waste of time. The sooner European countries realise they are only a couple of weeks behind UK and deal with *domestic* transmission the better it will be for them.

Wir behandeln derzeit auf Station vor allem ungeimpfte Menschen unter 40. Viele hielten ein "gutes Immunsystem" für ausreichend gegen Covid-19. Das Immunsystem ist aber keine "magische Barriere", es braucht zielgerichtete Werkzeuge gegen Erreger, z.B. die richtigen Antikörper.
