Why does China make all the electric cars, and not Europe? Why does China make all the batteries, solar panels, and drones, and not Europe? Why does China have a much stronger software industry than Europe? Why is China a leader in AI, and not Europe?

Honestly, modern Europeans should look over at China, and then look at how they've turned against technology, and they should be ashamed of themselves.

Post-quantum cryptography is a fast moving field. A lot has happened over the 20 months. So it's time for a new "state of the post-quantum Internet" 🧵

To reduce administrative burdens; every University committee should be required to “buy out” faculty time used for committee work and meetings at their wage rate. To schedule a school wide faculty meeting should cost $50k To send a school wide email should cost $2k

The Chat Control proposal by the Danish EU presidency is...as bad as the previous proposals. So Diego F. Aranha and me wrote an opinion piece, arguing why it should be discarded:

Lovforslaget om chatkontrol er fremsat og støttet af den danske regering. Som demokratisk samfund bør vi ikke opbygge en orwelsk digital overvågningsmaskine i Europa, der ligner systemer, som normalt...

It was great fun to give a talk at the V2 Security conference yesterday. Really engaging questions from the audience about how we will get to post-quantum security, in particular with respect to the different recommendations in Europe and abroad.
