I remember interviewing Jonny Bairstow in 2009. Nobody had asked about his dad. I asked if he felt obvious YCCC supporters' affection for him because of David.
He gave a lovely answer adding if he could have half the career he'd be happy.

We play too much cricket. We don't give red ball equal priority. We devote peak season to a format nobody else plays. We marginalise the County Championship, devalue the Blast and the 50-over comp.
