Thanks for everything, I-Man. We definitely lost a true radio legend. More than anything, I’ll remember how good you were to my family. That’s what matters most.
I’d like to say something about Imus as a broadcaster. I would argue he was THE BEST radio talent of all-time. In my view, his sense of timing and ability to pace a smart, informative and hilarious program was better than anyone who has ever done it.
Paul Riley spent years bad mouthing Alex Morgan to anyone who would listen, including the youth players he coached who looked up to her. Now we know it’s because she’s a good person and he’s not.
Former and current NWSL players Mana Shim, Sinead Farrelly and Alex Morgan speak out after a report last week detailed alleged sexual coercion by former North Carolina Courage head coach Paul Riley.

Thank you to the I-Man for everything! It’s been an honor to be a small part of the best morning radio program of all-time. Here’s a picture with crew from after the show today - love you guys.
@TheImusShow
The

players want equal pay - arguing they generate more revenue and have had more success than the men. Plus, the most-watched soccer game in U.S. history was a women's game.

When might a ground offensive begin in Gaza?
@jconricus
tells us about 600,000 of the 1.1 million residents in the evacuation zone have left. He says the
@IDF
wants the area to be “as clean as possible of civilians” and that point has not yet been reached.
@NewsNation
It’s a sad day. I know there are so many good people who have been listening for years, even decades. Their morning routines will never be the same because there will never be another I-Man.
Airplanes are disgusting. The guy behind me was coughing so badly I thought it was
@WhereMyImusAt
for a minute! I’ll consider it a miracle if I’m not hospitalized later today.
New Hampshire's governor has been cutting taxes on business, and revenues in the state continue to top projections. We went to Concord to see what's happening.
#StateOfTheEconomy
#NewHampshire
This is an absolutely brutal number - 6.64 million people filing for unemployment in a single week. Until two weeks ago, the record was in the 600k range - then we do 3.3 million and 6.6 million in consecutive weeks.
This is why Syria/Mattis has become a bigger story for Wall St investors than it normally would. It’s the process, and it just adds to the uncertainty and unpredictability.
Too much of the criticism of Trump has been overblown, too often about things that either didn’t happen or didn’t matter. That is not true of Syria/Mattis. This is a big deal, both in the substance of the Trump decisions and the way the whole episode was handled.
I can’t believe it but there’s only one more show. I was honored to be the last scheduled guest on Imus in the Morning. Here’s the appearance from this morning.
You may think the nation is divided but I see widespread, bipartisan agreement on the following here on twitter: the
@nyknicks
stink, the
@nyjets
are a mess and
@BilldeBlasio
is not going to be president.
A day after appearing on
@SpecialReport
to talk about a market rally,
@BretBaier
had me back to report on the worst day of the year for the Dow. It fell 800 points on fears a recession might be on the way.
WSJ - The president’s new openness toward the TPP, which he had said during his campaign was a deal “pushed by special interests who want to rape our country,” comes as he is facing criticism from farmers for his escalating trade battle with China.
Odessa Police just told us there are five confirmed deaths and more than 20 injuries in West Texas. We're told the rampage began with the shooting of a Texas State Trooper.
I realize this makes me a bad person, but I have very little interest in watching golf without Tiger. I just tried and only made it about three minutes.
We had our last show today at 4pm. While I’m looking forward to getting back to more field reporting, which I love, I’m going to really miss it and miss our team. I’m so proud of them and the honest, fair shows they’ve helped put together on
@AftertheBell
.
Governor Cuomo has been talking about this model, which shows more than 16,000 New Yorkers are likely to die from
#COVID
ー19. The state has 1,941 reported deaths right now, and would top 10,000 within two weeks under this model.
@connellmcshane
3 more to go. Imus told you his show hit the jackpot getting you. Us listeners hit the jackpot. You are a real pro, voice of reason. Thanks for making me smarter and laugh my butt off.
I wasn't sure what I wanted to do next and then
@NewsNation
comes along with a chance to host a fact-based, unbiased news show for two hours every weekday. Perfect fit! Give us a shot -
Donald Trump and a number of Fox News hosts promoted hydroxychloroquine, but a new study now links the drug to increased risk of death.
@colbyhall
joined us with his criticism of those Fox hosts, but not Neil Cavuto, who he says was a “real hero at that time.”
One of the best parts of working for Imus was the privilege of meeting Senator John McCain, the definition of an American hero (and a very funny man). Prayers to Meghan and the entire McCain family.
My man Bernard and I signing our new contracts to take over for Imus as the new morning show hosts here
@77WABCradio
. Our boss Chad Lopez executing the contracts making it official. It’s done folks! “Bernie and Sid in the Morning” starts here Monday, April 2nd! Thanks Iman:)

@NYGovCuomo
says his meeting w/
@realDonaldTrump
was a productive one. "“We spoke truth. We spoke facts. We made decisions and we have a plan going forward.”
Hello from North Carolina. As
@realDonaldTrump
heads to Charlotte to be nominated for reelection, we’re out with the voters. The polls have this state as a virtual dead heat. We are finding the President still has plenty of support in a state he won in 2016.
Wow - 266k jobs added last month. So much for the ADP report being a warning sign. The GM workers are back, which is part of this, but this is a GREAT number. Unemployment rate 3.5%.
It’s been a crazy week. I’ve hosted shows on FNC, FBN, Imus in the Morning, reported from the White House and now I’m getting set to broadcast a college basketball game!
@connellmcshane
Good for you. Can't believe it's been over 5 years since Imus' last broadcast. Such a fixture in my morning from the time I was 13 until 41. You were the perfect replacement for Charles. You'll be great on News Nation.
I'm really excited to be joining
@MelissaAFrancis
at 4pmET each weekday on
@AftertheBell
, starting October 15th. Congrats to David and Trish on their new shows.
Not many people can claim to be the BEST at what they do. Shep Smith is the best breaking news anchor on television. It's really not even close. I'll miss working in the same building as him.
For the record: I had NOTHING to do with the technical problems experienced today by
@TeamCavuto
but I was honored to fill in on

. I WAS honored until I experienced my own technical issues with one of our guests. Let's blame

It is sad, Sid. I’m going to miss it a lot. You’ve clearly established yourself as my favorite Sid, well ahead of both Fernandez and Bream.
#FourMoreShows
Love you, Rob. Thank you for the kind words. It means a lot coming from you, one of the world’s best humans. And, yes, I’m excited to get the show started 9/25 on NewsNation.
@NewsNationComms
@connellmcshane
@NewsNation
TV News just got a much-needed shot of class, style and integrity from the addition of a great man whom I deeply admire. It’s a beautiful thing when someone you love is granted something they truly deserve.
I've learned a lot about interviewing from Imus over the years. Just ask the question.
Imus: "Why did she shoot you?"
Trace Adkins: "She wanted me to die."
#Classic
Damn you,
@connellmcshane
for making me tear up. You described
#ImusInTheMorning
perfectly. There will never be another. Thanks for your role in the show.
