I have never been more certain that if AI development stopped today, we would still have massive & rolling disruption across society & the economy for the next ten years as people figured out how to harness what models can already do. And the end of AI progress seems unlikely.

"Keep the hands in mind" — indeed. Fine motor skills (FMS) have been largely overlooked in the era of the internet. A new meta-analysis identified a positive correlation between FMS and academic success, and the details are fascinating. The study aggregated 118 articles to

As long as prompting/context engineering/AI skill matters, agents may actually serve to increase differences in outcomes among people, rather than reduce them.

What will economic outcomes look like as transactions become delegated to AI agents? Will human differences be smoothed away, leading to more homogenous outcomes, or will they be recreated and potentially even amplified? Will AI agents mitigate inequality, or will it persist

We lost a whole generation of our smartest libs to this insane subculture. This loss of human capital has allowed the right to make huge strides in terms of taking over America.

Yup. That's the only way this app matters anymore. The cancel-mobs are gone. The libs are gone. The smart discussions are gone. The kids are gone. Only the right-wing staffer class remains, and to them, X is the whole world.

Everyone is talking about an AI bust. But the scenarios they envision all seem to be about AI's capabilities, rather than about the industry's competitive structure. AI could wildly succeed, but AI companies might not be able to make profits! https://t.co/hHN9G1FJzz
