@Cubs @20coleR Next step: refine the arsenal. Cole had a solid changeup and a big sweeper, but he needed something to bridge the gap. We added a hard gyro cutter (88–90) that became his go-to. Then we trimmed the sweeper into a tighter baby sweep to pair with the heater.

@Cubs @20coleR First focus: clean up the delivery. Cole had:. ▪️ Slow tempo. ▪️ Stalled drive phase. ▪️ Late pelvis, early torso rotation. We used plyo work including knee throws, split stance/roll in variations, along with back end drills to get him rotating efficiently and moving with intent.

@Cubs When @20coler first got to us, he was raw. Big frame, low mileage, not much pitching experience. He’d just moved from a two-way role at Elon to a starter at UNCC. Velocity sat 86–91 but we knew there was more in the tank.
