Es gibt weltweit rund 20.000 Klimaforscher:innen. Und manche Leute glauben tatsächlich, die seien allesamt dumm oder korrupt, während nur einige wenige in Diensten der fossilen Energiewirtschaft die Wahrheit erzählen. 🙄.

Auf den Wegfall des US-Schutzschirms für die Ärmsten der Welt folgt kein Sondervermögen Entwicklungshilfe. Im deutschen Etat wird ebenfalls gekürzt – wenn auch lang nicht so dramatisch.

We urgently need carbon removal. Supporting smallholder farmers to restore land is a cheap and effective way to do so while building good security for the bottom billion.
Major carbon cycle feedbacks like permafrost thaw could amplify warming across this millennium. Even ‘safe’ emission paths may overshoot 2°C. The Paris goal is a physical limit, not a political choice. Today’s actions shape life on Earth for centuries.
